This prestigious national award honors companies that demonstrate a top-down commitment to safety, a culture of accountability, and measurable success in reducing risk and protecting employees. With operations spanning nine sites and serving high-hazard industries such as oil & gas, chemicals, and biopharma, safety is not just a program at Mangan—it is embedded in everything we do.
At the heart of this recognition is Mangan’s employee-driven SMART Card program, which encourages frontline team members to identify potential hazards, share safety suggestions, and take personal ownership of safety decisions. In 2024 alone, over 6,000 SMART Card submissions were reviewed, leading to 600 safety-enhancing actions across the company.

This is the second time Mangan has received the award, having also been named in 2017. Since then, the company has achieved zero recordable injuries over the past three years, further validating our proactive approach to employee training, stop-work authority, and data-driven safety metrics.
