Midstream Project Examples

Terminal & Tank Farms

Expansion to existing Ingleside, TX, crude oil terminal; including power and control systems services associated with construction and commissioning of expanded valve manifold(s), additional tankage, inbound pipeline connections, and VLCC loading berths.
Seven tank system with operations including gasoline/butane/naphtha blending; including several refined product tanks, naphtha storage tanks, and a 35 Mbbl butane storage sphere. System is capable of receiving and shipping product at over 50 Mbbl/hr, and performs automated blending operations via integration with internal and external business systems. Mangan executed process consultation, electrical and panel design, network design, PLC development, HMI development, TMS application development, integration with customer and corporate systems, system integration, and facility commissioning.
Seven tank system with crude oil operations including inbound truck and pipeline receipts as well as outbound truck, pipeline, and rail deliveries. System is tied into a terminal automation system that provides scheduling, tank management, and ticketing. Mangan executed process consultation, electrical and panel design, PLC development, HMI development, application (scheduling, ticketing, historian) development, integration with corporate systems, system integration, and facility commissioning.

Pipeline Assets

Complete controls and measurement upgrade for an origination facility for major 36” and 40” pipelines with over 35000 HP driving product. Project integrated over 70 automated valves (motor and hydraulically operated), 8 meters, 2 provers, associated measurement devices, and a remote valve/pumping site. Mangan executed process consultation, electrical and panel design, PLC development, HMI development, application development (scheduling, ticketing, historian), integration with customer and corporate systems, system integration, and facility commissioning.

Complete controls and measurement upgrade for an facility injecting product in major 36” and 40” pipelines with over 20000 HP. Project integrated over 35 automated valves (motor and hydraulically operated), 6 meters, 2 provers, associated measurement devices, and interlocks/controls of shipper equipment. Mangan executed process consultation, electrical and panel design, PLC development, HMI development, integration with customer and corporate systems, system integration, and facility commissioning.

Complete controls and measurement upgrade for an end of line delivery facility with 22 shipper connections.  Project integrated over 65 automated valves (motor and hydraulically operated), 2 meters, 1 prover, associated measurement devices, and connections to all shippers for metering information and shipper alarming.  Mangan executed process consultation, electrical and panel design, PLC development, HMI development, integration with customer and corporate systems, system integration, and facility commissioning.

Complete controls and measurement upgrade for take-off of 36” and 40” pipeline delivery facility with 6 shipper connections. Project integrated 12 automated valves (motor and hydraulically operated), 1 meter, 1 compact prover, associated measurement devices, and connections to shippers for metering information and alarming. Mangan executed process consultation, electrical and panel design, PLC development, HMI development, integration with customer and corporate systems, system integration, and facility commissioning.

Gas Processing & Fractionation Plants

7 train gas plant with independent control and HMI systems. Mangan executed a complete SCADA/HMI consolidation and upgrade across all trains. Mangan scope included operations consultation, network design and consultation, E&I design, new controls and HMI equipment procurement, controls and HMI development, factory acceptance and site acceptance testing, start-up and commissioning, and continued maintenance and support.
3800 I/O gas plant operating with legacy obsoleted DCS. Mangan executed a complete controls upgrade for the entire facility. Mangan scope included process consultation, complete system design, new control system and equipment procurement, DCS engineering and high-performance HMI development, virtualized DCS deployment, full system factory acceptance and site acceptance testing, integration with 3rd party network and devices, and system commissioning with sequenced migrations and cutovers.
Mangan designed, procured, developed, testied, and deployed/commission a modern DCS with segregated PCS/SIS. Scope included complete system design, new control system and equipment procurement, DCS engineering and HMI development, full system factory acceptance testing, integration with 3rd party network and devices, and system commissioning.
